BIG WHITE PINK STRIPE
BIG WHITE PINK STRIPE - (I) - Catalog #7
Leaf Type - ?
Pale-peach colored 4-inch globe slicer with pinkish blush on blossom end and peach-cream colored flesh inside. Meaty fruits with tropical flavor similar to melon but slight sweet-tart tang.
SIMPLY TOMATOES NOTES:
We found no notes on this tomato, except for the notes above; however it is obviously an indeterminate plant that has thrived through the cool July in our west facing garden, against a wall. As of mid-August, it has only some small tomatoes, but appears to be thriving and very happy as long as it gets LOTS of water in its 36 inch deep pot.
As of September 5, this plant has suffered intolerable wind, hot/cold/hot/cold and is still growing. The period in June and July that returned to arctic conditions in the Bay Area saw this plant's leaves curl and cringe, but with every hot day, she thrives and has produced some delicious and somewhat marked fruit (probably from the wind)
